Dog

A dog, a friend, a family member, a secret keeper
Always trustworthy, always there
16 years is a long time for a pet
To be living in this world
The thought of putting you down
Kills me, It is just so hard to imagine
Life without you. But then
I think of all the good memories we had
Like when I would try to teach you tricks
But you wanted to be stubborn
I'll miss you so much
But I'll always love you

Your Opinion Doesn't Matter

Sitting inside wrapped in a blanket
I am getting so hot
That I am now cold
Long days with movies and ice cream
My pants are getting tighter
I am getting bigger
Mom asks me to clean my room
I can't find the energy to get up
I'm so comfortable, Why should I ruin that?
I get yelled at for sitting around
But I enjoy what I'm doing
So you're opinion doesn't matter

Tired

I am running on low
I am losing my glow
I need to get more rest
Or I feel so distressed
With all that’s going on
I feel like my energy is gone
Because I need more sleep
This poem isn’t in anyway deep

Normal Day

Today is a normal day.
I woke up late. I'm really tired
and kind of annoyed.
People are moving around in their chairs.
squeak and howl every time
I forgot to eat breakfast,
and I just want to go home.
I have to go to skating
After this, and then do all
of my homework and online classes.
phone is still broken
I keep going on Facebook
to talk to people, and I just
waste my time on there
it is going to be a long day.
I wish it was the weekend
but on the weekends I work
So I wish it was November
then I don't have to work and
I can catch up on my sleep.
I could be doing something productive.

The Many Ways to Eat a Fruit Roll Up

I
You always need to open up the wrapper
And unravel it from its shell
Peel it from its paper and the eating process begins
II
You can rip off squares, one at a time
And place each piece on the tongue
once the fragment has disintigrated
the next piece goes in
III
If you feel like this takes too much work
You can crumple it in a ball
And just eat it that way
III
Also you can fold in and half
And let half of it hang out of your mouth
You get to eat delicious food
And look like you're sticking your tongue out
IV
If you prefer you can fold the whole thing up
It will become one giant square
Or it can be any shape of your choice
V
If you would prefer a smaller piece
You can rip off a square
And fold it into a tinier square
In this case smaller could be better
VI
Now if you're not in public
What you can do is wrap it around your finger
You can enjoy your roll up that way
VII
If you enjoy licking things this one's for you
Hold both ends of the fruit roll up and stretch it out
Lick the middle of the roll up as long as you can
Then when it rips you can just eat it
VIII
For those hot days during the summer
Put the roll up in the freezer for 30 minutes
Then break off and eat the cold pieces
IX
Either you can chew it or suck it
It doesn't matter which
If you chew it it goes faster
If you suck it it stays longer
X
No matter which way you eat them
They are delicious
So enjoy, fruit roll ups are delicious

Pictures In Fields

I walk through golden fields
With my camera close to my face
I am looking through the lens
Finding beautiful pictures everywhere I look
A purple flower here
A squirrel over there
These images become memories
But they will forever be pictures

Rain

               I
            look
         up at the
     sky and clouds
     are getting dark                   A
     they are starting                 few
       to get thicker                sprinkles
           thunder                   come from
                                       the clouds and
                                      land on my face
                                        they feel cool
                                            refreshed
                            I
                        open
                     my mouth
                   and taste rain
                  it quenches my
                  thirst and I feel
                      very alive

The Joys of Traffic

Poem 1:
I’m on my way home
Sitting in traffic again
Horns always honking
People driving very slow
I might never make it home
Poem 2:
I am going home during rush hour
Traffic is a daily problem here
Honking horns and super slow drivers
It will take forever to get home
Poem 3:
Here I am trying to get home
What’s new? More traffic like always
With honking horns and slow people
At this rate I will be home late
Poem 4:
In the car trying to go home
Traffic, traffic please go away
Horns honk and cars are slow moving
I would like to be home, thank you
Poem 5:
I am driving home like every other day
Then traffic shows up and my speed needs to decrease
People press on their horns and make others slow down
Just trying to get home before it becomes dark
Poem 6:
In my Toyota on my way back to my house
All the traffic starts earlier than usual
Horns are honking away, people start slowing down
I would like to be home before it gets too late

Breakfast Sonnet

Decisions, decisions what should I eat?
A blueberry muffin or some jelly on toast
This morning I am craving something sweet
Possibly a three course meal to fill me up at the most
With so many options likes waffles or pancakes
It may take me forever to decide
I could eat Fruit Loops, Lucky Charms, or Frosted Flakes
Or if I wanted to be healthy I could eat fruit dried
A bagel with cream cheese and a side of eggs
May complete my desire for something tasty
But then again a fancy alternative may work like crab legs
I should probably make up my mind and make it hasty
Too bad I took forever to come up with a resolution
No breakfast for me I am starting a hunger revolution
